British animal rights organization Animal Rising has announced it will release previously unseen footage from inside British factory farms on September 1, building a campaign around the claim that intensive animal agriculture operates in breach of existing animal welfare law. The organization is using the release to press the UK government for a firm commitment to end factory farming by 2040, alongside a fully funded roadmap for what it describes as a just transition to a more sustainable food system.
