Absence

Have spent the last several months moving back to my house in Illinois and starting a new job.  Every available moment’s been devoted to getting rid of trash left by the tenants, cleaning walls, cabinets and surfaces and making repairs.  I finally took a breather this weekend and watched a gorgeous Korean film on Netflix – A Moment to Remember.  It is not perfect.  Some of the minor characters are flawed and the last part of the film is overwrought and unrealistic. But, the music and cinematography are exquisite. They infuse the film with a sensuality that intensifies the emotions and leaves the viewer with an aching sense of the world’s beauty.
